Our Story

Park Takeover began when a few San Diego families started gathering at local parks so their children could play, connect and build friendships.

​

As more families joined, those informal gatherings grew into a vibrant community. What started in the park became a shared vision for creating opportunities rooted in culture, creativity, education and wellness.

​

Today, Park Takeover provides free, year-round programming that helps youth and families learn, grow and build lasting community together.
