Park Takeover was established by families living in the city of San Diego. Our families would meet in local parks for our children to play during their free time. After multiple meetups, the numbers of families grew and chose to name themselves Park Takeover. This name was chosen because of the high numbers of our children that would be at single park per meet up. Park Takeover was established to bring opportunities to the children of our families by organizing events that encourage play, education and the exploration of the arts.
